Wicked Wednesday.

I know I’ve done a similar post title/style before, but I don’t careeeee.  It’s my blog and I’ll repeat shit if I wanttttt tooooo.  Okay, maybe that doesn’t have the same ring to it, but I’m not a songwriter.  I’m wicked tone deaf.

Anyways, today was my day off.  I spent it with my dad, like I do most Wednesdays.  I’m actually wicked lucky to get along with my dad as well as I do, since I consider him one of my best friends.  We’re constantly laughing, swearing, and making fun of each other.  We started off the morning pretty slowly, with no alarms or anything, but we managed to make it to breakfast around 9:45.

It was wicked delicious.  We eat at this place all the time, but today’s breakfast was particularly awesome.  I had eggs benedict and homefries, with the hollandaise on the side & a wheat English muffin.  Drool.

Then we went tele skiing.  I had to bail early to make a chiropractor appointment, but it still was really fun.  My legs are SO sore from my run yesterday – funny how a three mile run is super painful when you haven’t really run in a month!  The sore legs made tele skiing difficult, but it’s so fun and it’s great to watch how psyched my dad is that I’m teleing with him.  I enjoyed a Harpoon Cider while I was getting my stuff off, which made the (wicked painful) chiropractor appointment a little easier.  She was really massaging my side today to try to release the wicked deep back muscle that’s causing my hip pain.  She said she actually has another female runner client right now with the same issue as me, so at least I’m not totally crazy.

I came home to a random lunch and some of the world’s ugliest underwear from the Victorias’s Secret semi-annual sale.  I like cheap, so all the wicked weird patterns are left. :)

DSC07394 I did laundry, took a nap and went out to dinner with my dad.  We went to local seafood place that does all you can eat haddock on Wednesday nights for like 12 dollars, so we did that.  I had haddock, a small salad (in place of chowder), butternut squash & a few bites of baked beans.  It was wicked good.  My dad ate a shitload of food – I stuck with just the original amount!  When I got home from dinner, I tackled my laundry pile.  I figured since I never folded last week’s laundry, I could do them both…

Now ‘I’m spooning with an ice pack and a gallon of water.  So exciting.  Green Street Hooligans is in the DVD player, so I’m wicked pumped about that.

  7. Hahah I will never forget the summer I lived in NJ and the locals tried to make me feel welcome by completely and utterly misusing the New England form of wicked. I had to explain to everyone that England wicked = cool/badass ; NEW England wicked = very. Wicked annoying, but their hearts were in the right place. ;)

  8. Aw, that’s cool that you get along with your dad so well. I love my dad but we’re not especially close. I do love to make fun of him though :)
